Exciting News on UConn Today!!  Four UConn School of Business graduate students recently served as consultants for Macy’s Inc., taking on a high-impact project to review and improve the company’s sustainability practices. This opportunity was part of their coursework in the “Social Responsibility and Accountability in Business” class and the MS in Social Responsibility and Impact in Business graduate program.
From analyzing non-retail procurement to exploring human rights policies and environmental impact, the students worked alongside Macy’s sustainability and procurement teams, gaining hands-on experience with one of the most iconic retail brands in the world. Their work was so impactful that two students were invited to continue as summer interns to help implement their team’s recommendations.
This collaboration gave students a rare opportunity to turn classroom knowledge into real-world influence, while developing professional skills, building networks, and shaping meaningful change in the business world.
