We are excited to celebrate Caroline Keary, who will graduate this May with a Master of Science in Social Responsibility & Impact in Business. She has also been named a Hall of Fame Fellow for her outstanding leadership and contributions.
Caroline stands out for her work in sustainability, human rights, and business impact. She has led important projects in both corporate and institutional settings, focusing on human rights due diligence, sustainable procurement, and circular economy innovation. Her efforts have turned strong values into real results.
Caroline led a human rights risk audit for Macy’s non-retail procurement, helping to improve ethical oversight in complex supply chains. She also co-founded and grew UConn’s Thrift Fen, a free on-campus thrift store that has kept thousands of items out of the waste stream and made reuse more accessible to the community.
She is also UConn’s first Zero Waste Coordinator and has helped advance campus sustainability efforts. Her dedication to making a difference locally and globally led to her selection as a COP30 Fellow, giving her the chance to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference and continue supporting refugee and immigrant communities in Hartford.
In all of these roles, Caroline shows strong leadership and a steady commitment to making a real difference.
